PRESENT FOCUS In the past six plus years, I have concentrated more on the electronic world of multimedia, web design and how computers can be an effective way to disseminate information and as presentation tools. This has led me to explore ways of assisting companies in moving into these new medias to capture their full impact and have their efforts remain affordable while making the transition. As Data becomes Information, when given context, Information can be translated into Knowledge when the client and design team engages in the Information Design process to create a platform for the message to get to the viewer in a usable and understandable form. I find that the collaborative effort in the Information Design process is a very affective way for companies to flush out their focus and get the intended message to their viewer(s). I find that the collaborative effort in the Information Design process is a very affective way for companies to flush out their focus and get the intended message to their viewer(s). I am foremost a designer and a producer with talents that include; design, coordination, directing (talent, photography, graphics, audio and video), editing and producing. In my 25+ years in multi-image/multi-media, I've worked on just about every phase of production. I've designed and/or produced slide shows ranging from simple single projector shows to large multimedia shows using multiple computers with synchronizing lasers, pyrotechnics, lighting controls, slide, film and video projection and other auxiliaries. I have also programmed shows, designed by others, as large as 144 projectors using seven computers on a 360 degree screen. My work has been mostly in the area of corporate business communications doing PR, corporate image, product information, and marketing presentations. FORMAL EDUCATION I have a BS in Landscape Architecture and Design. I have also studied photography and optical printing. |
